Authorisations issue

Hi there,

I am having the following problems at this one large site and don;t know how to resolve:

1. Two of the main users who have full access and a professional SAP license, cannot find the authirsations section on their menu?? It is not on the form setting menu either?? Please advise as to why it is missing??

2. Some of the users do not have access to click on the magnifying glass in a formatted search. They can create a formatted search but when they click on the maginifying glass an error appears saying "you do not have permission to perform this action". I have given them authorisations to user defined fields, what else do they need??

3. Some of the user's can't save their form settings. Normally when you change the form settings of a screen it is saved per user. Some user have to re-organise the same screen everytime they log back into SAP. Why is this happening??

Hi there,

Apologies for having more than one question, I didn't know.

The SAP version is 2007 PL 47. All the users log onto a terminal server. There are now 3 users who all have full authorizations, professional user licenses and yet the authorization menu does not appear in the form settings options or anywhere. Even when I make them a super user they still cannot see it.

please advise.

To give them access to this, go to the authorisations screen for the user and choose:

Reports -> Query Generator -> Saved Queries and make sure they have access to all the groups, or the ones which have queries linked to formatted searches. This should allow them to click on the magnifying glass.

Dear Clayton,

1.which SAP Version do you use?

2. Sorry but did you mean Authorizations. You find this Administration-> System Initialization -> Autorizations.

If this is not visible please try to following:

In the menü search for the Icon "Form Settings" see Administration-> System Initialization -> Autorizations is this Visible ?

There is a checkbox with a little hook, if not please set this Hook.

3. Do the use more then one of the same Windows?

If yes, this could be the Problem. Please use only one of the same Form set the settings and logg out from B1.

Login and take a look.
