SAP GUI v7.2 on XP 64-bit running IE7 issues

I have some 64-bit machines running Windows XP-64 bit and IE7 and SAP GUI v6.4. We packaged and upgraded the SAP GUI from v6.4 to v7.2 and now some of our 64-bit machines won't run IE7. Just a blank White page. Uninstalling IE7 back to IE6 works but when we re-install IE7 again, it still fails to open but a white screen in IE7. SAP Note 1451980 mentions something about Active X maybe having issues and the SAP GUI, especially V7.2 with its new security features. Anybody have a fix or solution?
