Hello expert,
I have one questions. I added new one infoobject into one existing DSO in BI dev and transported it into BI testing system, then loaded data there. Now I removed the infoobject from this DSO in BI dev.
1. Could I transport it into BI testinig system without deleting any data in DSO in testing system?
2. do I need to deleting all data from DSO in BI testing system or deleting requests only which contain new field value in DSO in BI testing system?
thanks,
Sudree
If it is a Key Field then you will have to delete the data from the InfoProvider before transporting the request. Not sure if you can do it for Data field with just deleting the request
How did you do it in Dev box??? Did it allow you to delete with just deleting teh request?

Hi,
Yes you would require to delete the the data from DSO else it might throw some compatibility issues.
Deleting just that particular request should work not sure though.
Whenever, you add a new feild you would require to dump and reload of the entire data target or use the concept of remodelling to populate it.Remodelling will intelligently populate the field in the historical records as well.
However, remodelling fails when there are compounding Iobjects involved. So dump and reloading the entire data is a better option.
Hope this helps to understand the scenario better.

Transport will fail ... So you should delete data and do transport

Delete entire content from the DSO
