To lock production version

Hi Gurus,

While running standard costing, system consider 1st available version only. We need 2nd version for standar costing, so if we inactive 1st and 3rd alternative BOM system will consider 2nd for standard cost calculation. So we need to inactive or lock the 1st and 3rd production version. When i try to lock that lock field is in greyed. How we can lock and unlock the production version
