CMOD - remove enhancement

MichiFr

Hi,

adding a new enhancement to a CMOD project is not that difficult. When it comes to removing an enhancement it seems to be impossible. Any chance to do this at all? Can I remove a previously added enhancement?

Hi!

No, you can't.

And it's is not possible to deactivate only 1 component as well, only everything within the project.

You might delete the ZX... include or comment everything out within it.

Wow very fast answer which I saw already coming since I didn't found anything, too, to remove enhancements from the list. Don't know why SAP did not include anything similar - too bad!

Hi Michael,

May be I understood wrongly. But I would like to clear that point.

Why can't you remove the enhancement from a project in CMOD ?, You can just delete that from the list, right?

For the information, you just deactivate the project and then try to delete the enhancement. It is possible. Once it is done, please activate it again.

So, is your question answered?

Hi Michael,

In transaction CMOD first Deactivate your project, select the radiobutton Enhancement Assignment.

Press the Change button, select the enhancement, which you want to delete and click the Delete row button.

Then activate the project.

Hi Selva,

thanks for your answer which solved this for me.

I wasn't aware that I first had to deactivate the project in order to get the delete Button visible. This seems to be mainly a usability problem or a design flaw that the activate/deactivate buttons are placed on a different dynpro as the delete button. At least it would be better to show the delete button to the user but disable it rather than hiding it.

Anyway, problem solved and points awarded!

Michael
