Master Data change

Dear Gurus,

Am working on an assignment where the customer is carrying out an exercise on master data cleansing.

Would like to know how to go about carrying out changes in the master data like BoM and Routings.

Am aware that CS20 (Mass change - BoM) and engineering workbench can be used for the same. Some more inputs on how to go about doing it would be great.

You probably need a MASS with object BUS1001 to mass change material master, MM06 to flag material for deletion, and SARA to archive the material master.

For routing, it has only option to change work center. If you need to change other fields, using tools like LSMW, or eCATT or batch input. You can delete the routing with archiving via CA99 or without archiving via CA98.

For BOM, CS20 can change quantity, Item text, sort string and change component. Other than that then you should use uploading tools as well. To delete, use CS28 to archive or CS02 can be deleted without archiving.
