Upgrade from ECC 5 to ECC 6 EhP 4 - what is the impact on the BW

Dear All,

one of my customers is planning an upgrade from SAP ECC 5 to SAP ECC 6 EhP 4.

they want to know what could be the implications on the BW system they have (BW 7).

for example, when they upgraded they SRM system they had to do a lot of changes in the BW...

Hi Yudit,

There will be no implications on the BW7.0 system. It is OK to do data extraction between ECC and BW.

Hi,

I guess there is no such kind of dependencies on BW to perfrom the EHP4 upgrade on ECC5.

Becasue i could see that they are using BW7.0 sytems.

For the safer side you can read and check the new functionalites of EHP4 in SMP.
