what will be the difference if we use https and http with certificates in SAP CPI.

Hi CPI Experts,

In Sender SOAP adapter we could see SOAP 1.x Transport Protocol as HTTP and SOAP RM Transport Protocol as HTTPS(secure).

If we use certificates, both(SOAP 1.x/RM) will be secured or there will be any difference ? As SOAP 1.x has Transport protocol is HTTP which is not as secured as HTTPS.

Kindly clarify my doubt.

    Dear Reddy,

All the inbound HTTP connections are secured as HTTPS. A system sending a message to the Cloud-based integration platform using HTTPS as secure transport channel is not directly connected to the tenant. Instead of this, a load balancer component is interconnected that terminates all inbound HTTPS requests, and re-establishes a new secure connection.

For inbound HTTP connections, you can define Authorization options for the communication user associated with the sender system to define how it accesses the Cloud Integration components.

For the difference between different adapters/protocols, you can refer to
