Transport protocol is HTTP and not HTTP'S for sender soap channel with message protocol as SOAP 1x

Hi CPI Experts,

Can you please clarify my below doubts ?

1. How can we ensure that SENDER SOAP channel SOAP 1.x is secured where its transport protocol is HTTP and not HTTPS(we are not using any certificates i.e Authorization: user Role) ?

2. Why for SENDER SOAP 1.x , TP is HTTP and MP is SOAP 1.x but this is reverse in the case of receiver SOAP 1.x i.e TP is HTTPS and MP is SOAP 1.x.

3. As far as i know SOAP 1.x we use for synchronous scenarios and SOAP RM we use of asynchronous scenarios, is there any other difference apart from this ?

I have added the screenshots for reference. Kindly share your thoughts.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Mani,

1. Load Balancer is present in between the Client and Server - SCPI Tenant Runtime.

2. Load Balancer is not present in between Client - SCPI tenant and Server 3rd party but if its on-premises then SAP Cloud Connector is present in between so HTTP instead of HTTPS in the URL.

3. Check here for more details.

Chandan
