Declining multi-phase depreciation CZ

Dear Experts,

for Czech Republic, there is no localization and therefore depreciation methods are not defined. What I need is the Declining multi-phase depreciation CZ as it is described in the Help Portal for ECC:

Starting point in ByA Fine-Tuning is theBusiness OptionFinancial and Management Accounting: Fixed Assets: Fixed Asset Valuation: Depreciation Methods

• Copy template and create custom depreciation method
• Edit depreciation methods

But - as far as I can see - none of the Custom depreciation models fits here.

Any idea?

Hi Eric,

I am not sure about the exact details but below is worth try.

1) You will have to create multiple depreciation method

• In the first year of use, depreciation is calculated using the formula: "base value (e.g. net book value) / useful life" -> Based on the template for the useful life
• Starting with the second year of use, the system uses the formula: "2 * base value / ((useful life + 1) - expired useful life) -> I guess based on the remaining useful life template

2) on the fixed Asset master data / Asset valuation tab : you will need to maintain corresponding details for example , Useful llie, Expired Useful life, Work Shift-Dependent Depreciation (Percent), Shifts Worked per Day and Change over year

you will also need to choose the correct period control method and other relevant parameters during the creation of new depreciation method.

in Bydesign, you can also maintain, Start dates for the special depreciation or different valuation intervals to calculate the depreciation with the different logic after certain period or date.
