Delete Cost Element

Hi All,

Cost Element is created as G/L Account.Also,there are booking taken on this G/L Account.

How could I delete the Cost Element as in KA04 ,I am getting the error message:

"Deletion is not possible(dependent records exist in table COEP)"

Or,Is there a way to delete cost element from a certain point in time (e.g. 01-JUL-2010) so that previous bookings can remain untouched? In test run it was not possible for me in transaction KA04.
