CAT5: Posting date must not be in the future

Former Member

Dear colleagues,

During CAT5 I am getting this error message 43 Posting date must not be in the future.

But I am getting it only for specific Project Profile / Network Profile, while not for others, so I can make a conclusion about some inconsistent customizing somewhere.

Do you know where are the settings to influence / control this check? What is the recommended aproach towards Posting date in the future (when Time is reported in CATS in advance).

Thank you!

If you are confirming network activity via CATS transfer then, there is a customization which prohibits user to confirm the activity using future date. Goto OPST, select the network type and plant of your project, if "dates infuture" check box is ticked, then you cannot do confirmation using future date.

Hi Ahmed,

F1 help for "Date in future" says,

Allow actual dates in the future

Determines whether dates in the future can be used in a confirmation.

If the indicator is not set, you cannot make any confirmations using dates in the future. If you try to do so, the system issues an error message.

From this i would infer that if you have checked the indicator system will allow you to make confirmations using dates in future. That means you need to check this indicator to allow confirmations for future dates. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
