Workflow email notification

Hi,

I have a workflow requirement wherein I need to send outlook emails to the users for all the generated work items and emails should have links of Display Inbox, execute work item which would open relevant transaction in web browser so that it will work for the users who do not have SAP GUI installed.

Using standard SAP program RSWUWML2 I am able to send outlook emails for work items with Inbox and execute work items short cuts in attachment which takes me to SAP GUI transaction and can perform the required action also but it does not go to web browser. I need to understand the required setup to enable web links in the emails. I tried my hands in transaction SWNCONFIG like creating category, changing link to LINK2 (i.e. HTML link) but couldnu2019t succeed. Please suggest if you come across similar situation and also who did this job viz. BASIS or FUNCTIONAL or ABAP?

I have ECC 6 where I need to implement this.
