livecache connections fail

hey all -

we experience problems with our livecache connections from one specific linux suse blade server

the errors (-8006, -8044, -4016, -10821) occur randomly and involve different stored procedures(APS_PEGAREA_GET_DATA

, APS_ORDER_GET_DATA , SIM_SIMSESSION_CONTROL, ...)

on another blade the errors do not occur

there is no difference between the servers on linux or SAP level (same patch levels, kernels, ...)

McAfee virusscanner is running on both linux blades and the IA64 livecache server - there's a note about Sophos indicating MAXDB does not start when it runs - but we never had any problems with the livecache server

any ideas appreciated
