Hi Basis Experts,
i am trying to update our Solution-Manager system however when i try to install the sap basis package "SAPKB70017" i get an conflict with the addon "ST 400".
now i found a sap-note 1245992 addressing the issue. it basically says that there is no solution, but i need to get the system to a higher patchlevel.
please advice.
kind regards Kalle Eismann
ps: i have the newest Spam/Saint " SAPKD00739" version installed.
H Tobias,
Thanks for your quick response.
I always thought that the basis patches have to be installed in chronological order.
kind regards Kalle.

Hi,
I can see the answer in the note itself. "For SAP Solution Manager 7.0, import only SAP_BASIS Support Packages that have been defined as part of the Support Package Stacks". Are you not using maintenance optimizer? You may please try as a stack implementation which will detect all the necessary file and there wont be any conflicts too. There are stacks available up to 24 now.
Please let us know if you face any issue in that.

well you have to download a stack of Patches from the sap marketplace then unpack them with sapcar and install the whole stack using SAINT.
make sure u read the notes that SAINT will show you.
wtih kind regards

Hi Kalle,
why don't you try to install the latest SAP_Basis Support Package?
For your Solman Release that sould be the SAP_Basis Package 22.
Best regards
Tobias
