SAP Netweaver ABAP 7.01 Trial - Error - could not create dir:L:\sapdb

Dear,

I am evaluating SAP....Installing SAP Netweaver ABAP 7.01 Trial. I am getting following error. Please help.

Be aware of the fact that drive letters are user dependent. If you're logged in as e. g. administrator and the database runs under a different user it won't know the drive letter of administrator.

Thanks for information. Now I am trying to delete the databases NSP and MAXDB1. But I am not aware about the password and the password entered during installation for superdba and control account are not being accepted. Is there any other way to remove entire database and re-install every thing.

I did not find any error in the above log.

can you post some more recent logs from the installation directory?

Hello Rajneesh,

1. To uninstall MAXDB1:

J:\sdb\programs\MAXDB1\pgm\ dbmdrop u2013d MAXDB1

Then use u201CSDBUNINSTu201D to uninstall the dependent package:

< If you are SAP customer => see the SAP note 599129. >

Run as Administrator, tool located in H:\sapdb\programs\bin :

sdbuninst -package "Database Kernel" u2013autoresolve

As you have several installations of the 'Database Kernel'

package on the host, the system asks you during the

uninstallation which of the installations must be deleted. For

this, all installations of 'Database Kernel' are then listed.

0: Database Kernel in J:\sdb\programs\MAXDB1 7.7.07.16

1: Database Kernel in H:\sapdb\NSP\db 7.7.07.16

2: Database Kernel in F:\sapdb\NSP\db 7.7.06.07

3: none

Enter the number of the installation that you want to delete - J:\sdb\programs\MAXDB1.

2. After that update the thread with the output of the following commands:

H:\sapdb\programs\bin\sdbregview u2013l

H:\sapdb\programs\bin\xinstinfo

H:\sapdb\programs\pgm\dbmcli inst_enum

for some reason it is looking for L drive. Do you have L drive enabled in your system?

also please paste recent logs from the installation directory.
