Using own Planning area

I created a Planning area called ZDP and Planning Object Structure called ZDP.

I determined its KeyFigures and created a Planning book on this Planning area.

In / sapapo/sdp94 I propose to initialize the planning version for planning area '9 ADP01 ', without giving a choice. Char.Combinations and TimeSeries obj., already created.

How do I specify that I want to use for Demand Planning is ZDP planning area, created by me?

Hi Alexander,

In planning area maintenance under key figure, check the

field semantic which specifies whether the key figure

used is order series or of time series. If it is of time series,

it will be used in demand planning, if it is of order series,

the same will be used in snp

All Keyfigs. already using in LC:TimeSeries.

Currently, only active one Planning Area - is created by me ZDP, the other inactive. But nevertheless, I can not select it for Demand Planning in sdp94.

Planning version are initialized through transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN, but I can't select Planning Area at the entrance to the transaction sdp94.

The problem is that when I log in sdp94 in the dialog box is invited to initialize planning version for the standard Planning Area 9ADP01, without giving a choice. Denial of a choice leads to Planning Book, but does not allow use created earlier Planning Book on my ZDP Planning Area for Demand Planning.

Hello Alexander,

You're asked to initialize the planning area '9ADP01' is because that when accessing /sapapo/sdp94, a default plannig book is assigned to every user. In the first access to /sapapo/sdp94, the assigned planning book is a defualt one based on planning area '9ADP01'. After you've accessed /sapapo/sdp94, the default planning book assigned to your user is the latest one you've accessed.

If you want to set the default planning book of your user, please use transaction /sapapo/sdpplbk. you can assign your created planning book to your user. After that, when you access /sapapo/sdp94, you can skip the '9ADP01' initialization.

Best Regards,

Hi Alexander,

Pls use this txn /n/sapapo/sdpplbk to assign yourself to the planning book you want to access.

After this close all your screen and then try the sdp94 transaction. It should take you to the necessary planning book.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Mani Suresh.

The solution to my problem was found in another topic of this forum. When you first log in sdp94 in any case need to initialize the planning version to 9adp01, activating while 9adpbas Planning Object Structure. Then you can use any Planning Area.

Thank you all for your participation in my problem.

Alexander,

Glad you were able to move on with your work, however that initializing the version for the default planning book is not a mandatory step when we begin with sdp94.

Thanks

Hi Alexnader,

We assign planning book to a specific planning area. We can not assign one planning book to more than one Planning Area.

I hope you have initialized planning version through transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN.

When you enter into transaction /SAPAPO/SDP94, you need to choose the specific planning book, so that the in background the intended Planning Area is selected.
