Configuration client in SolMan EHP1

Hello, we have installed Solution Manager 7 EHP1. Now we want to run solman_setup and fulfill basic configartion steps.

But we cannot see any mentions and recomendations in Configuration Guide what the configuration client must be in the system? (000, 001 or 100) ?

In Configration demo program we can see that client 001 is used as configuration client.

But we want to use another configuration client in further, i.e. client 100.

Can we do all configuration steps in client 001 and the to copy it in client 100?

Is it correct?

You can execute this configuration client 001 without problems. My configuration was done in client 001.

We have decided to create the configuration client 100 by copying from client 000 and with user master record from client 001.

there's a how-to guide written by SAP on your question, Page 29 and 30.

It says you should do client copy with...

*Profile=SAP_ALL

*Source Client=000

*User master=001

i remember the same thing's described in SPRO.

Please note that you have to change BW Client No. from 001 to new one which you create.
