How to run FDFD in correct way

Dear Experts ,

My company used SAP Since July 2007 and facing problem about FF7A and FBL3N that sometimes the values are not matched , and FDFD can help us (although not always) , I think weu2019ve already set u2018DATA SETUPu2019 once.

But now I faced the problem that when running FDFD by select u2018DATA RECONSILATIONu2019 and enter the G/L accounts of the wanted banking, then u2018CORRECT DATA u2013 all G/L accounts u2019 and set up job at 23:55 . But in the morning , when checking with FF7A the G/L accounts data all the day before I ran FDFD are 0. Anyway the data value of each account on the day I ran are matched with FBL3N.

Iu2019ve done it twice , but itu2019s the same . Someone suggest that I should wait for 1 week the data will show , but Iu2019ve waited for 3 weeks , nothing happened .

Please tell me what should I do ?

Thanks ,

Bhak

Hi Bhak,

as you aware FF7A is Cash management report, providing you information about so called Cash position or simply on the current financial situation in your bank accounts and bank clearing accounts (see description @ SAP help http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/cf/6fee14414f11d182b10000e829fbfe/frameset.htm). Normally, for business users it is important to see current data or some future developments, but not historical situation, as you cannot influence your historical Cash flows. This is the reason in my opinion, why during FDFD all historical subtotals becomes 0 (this also allows to optimize resource usage), however since specified date balances, provided by FF7A and FBL3N should be equal (I've got similar situation and after running FDFD balances for selected Bank accounts using FF7A and FBL3N were equal after selected reorganization date).

refarding FDFD, I would suggest you to read documentation provided on it (you can find it in Customizing) once again and you will understand the functionality of this transaction.

hope this will help you.
