Does executing the step"Activate standard tasks" in SRM effect the existing workflow in anyway? appreciate a quick response

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does anyone have documentation/link on how to 'Activate Standard Tasks' in SRM (the SRM Add-on for ERP)?
I did once, It didn't affect my existing workflow..
