Error message KD302

Former Member

Hello experts,

First of all, I have customize a splitting structure which contains cost elements primary and secondary (all of these are assesment type). So then I execute a plan assesment in order to allocation expenses from indirect cost center to direct cost center. Then I execute the splitting structure and the system reports the error KD302: "Cost Center XXXXX, cost element XXXXX: Splitting is not possible".

I know that if I enter an equivalance number in the transaction kp26 for that cost center, the message is solved but is not correct. Because The value of assesment cost elements have to be allocated in the corresponding activity defined in the splitting structure, not allocated proportionately in all activities therefore the price rate of the activities are wrong.

Do you know any way to solve this (any point of customizing left)? If not, do you know any note OSS to solve it?

Thanks of all in advance.

Thanks, but I have just seen those notes. They are very old and they aren't referred to my problem.

Any idea?

Hi

Did you assign your cost centers to the splitting structure??

You create spl str in OKES and assign them in OKEW (Or may be vice versa)

Just check the cost center for which you are carrying out the splitting, is assigned to it or not

Thanks for your answer.

But yes, I have assigned the corresponding cost centers to the splitting structure.

I think the system is uncapable to allocation the costs of assesment cost elements to the corresponding cost center defined by splitting structure. Although when you customize the splitting structure, the system permits you enter cost elements with assesment category.

Please, does somebody knows how to solve it?

Thanks in adavance.

Hi

System does recognizes assessment cost elements. I have myself used it... A couple of times it did not split initially.... But it happened later on...

If you are doing it based on activity qty, then check whether you have plan qty in that period or not.. In my case, it has always worked successfully with catg 42 cost elements as well.

The steps that I did in splitting str were

1. Create a splitting rule (Method 12: Actiivity Qty)

2. Assign it to the splitting strucutre

3. Create assignment lines and assign Cost ele grup and activity type

4. And you have assign version 0 in one step also...

Thanks Ajay again a lot.

I have checked what you tell me:

1) I have activity plan in the kp26

2) I have a a splitting rule (Method 22: Actiivity Qty Plan). Also I have tried on with the method 12 (Activity Quantity) but the system repots me the same error message.

3) I have already create assignment lines and assign Cost ele grup and activity type and Cost centers are asiggned.

4) I have assigned version 0 to my splitting rule.

But, the system report me the same error message. The system takes into account costs of primary costs elements for splitting plan but for assesement category doesn`t. So If you have got it sometime with 42 category cost element, could you give more information, any idea...?

Thanks a lot

Hi

these were exactly the steps that I followed and it worked.... I dont know why the behavior in your system is different

It just gave me that message a couple of times... I removed the test run and executed still and it gave me the correct result....

May be you can also do that once Or raise an OSS message to SAP...

Thanks a lot,

I don't know this behaviour in the system, so I am going to write a note OSS to SAP.
