Linux: Installation BO XI 3.1 - network settings

40 Views

Hi,

I am installing BO XI 3.1 Edge on a Novell Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 just for testing purposes. When I start the installer it always quits at the point when probing the network settings. First I got a "The current hostname could not be resolved (STU00137)." error, now a STU00134 error.

I know that I have to adapt my /etc/hosts file, but I don't know how exactly... this is how the file currently looks like - obviously false for the BO installer:

#
# hosts This file describes a number of hostname-to-address
# mappings for the TCP/IP subsystem. It is mostly
# used at boot time, when no name servers are running.
# On small systems, this file can be used instead of a
#               "named" name server.
# Syntax:
#
# IP-Address  Full-Qualified-Hostname  Short-Hostname
#

#127.0.0.1	localhost
127.0.0.1	linux-sles11test

# special IPv6 addresses
::1             localhost ipv6-localhost ipv6-loopback

fe00::0         ipv6-localnet

ff00::0         ipv6-mcastprefix
ff02::1         ipv6-allnodes
ff02::2         ipv6-allrouters
ff02::3         ipv6-allhosts

What's wrong in this file or: could I use YaSt to correct the settings?

Thanks a lot!
