Usage of Formula "5 - Cost Dailogue"

Hi,

I would like to know the usage of Condition base Formula "5" - Cost Dialogue.Please explain with an example and the usage of it in a real time scenerio.

Hello Vinu

I think you mentioned it as Condition base Formula by mistake, it is Alt. Calc. Value formula.

Any ways all it does is to compare the profit margin from item pricing to a target value saved somewhere ( I am trying to find out where, may be an Infostructure) and issue an error message if it falls below that.

what ever value is in Sub total 1 will be the base for the calculation .

Suppose sub total 1 has value 100% and we have used the formula 5 against a discount condition type and condition record for this discount is maintained as 10 %. then the 10% will be calculated against the 100$ and the 10$ will be applied.
