Hello
In CO we monthly execute some cycles to split costs on one cost center to several cost centers (the receiver cost centers are not assigned to the same Business Area as the sender cost center).
Unfortunately these cycles/repostings in CO are not updated in FI, in which we use the P/L+Balance statement to do some reportings on Business Area.
Doesn't anybode have an idea how this problem is to be solved?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Søren
Hi,
Postings in FI make only sense when some cross-dimensional CO postings is executed. Otherwise it is simply duplicating CO data in FI. Due to unnecessary amount of data in the database it obviously has an impact on performance for any FI
posting, reporting and also the database storage.
As long as you want to have FI postings also for non cross-dimensional postings in certain cases you can use substitution rule. As long as real-time integration /reconciliation ledger is NOT active, no CO posting is transfered in FI in such cases.
regards
Waman

Hi,
New GL: CO-FI online integration
"Classic" GL: reconciliation ledger (report SAPF181).
Both ways post the CO internal changes for business areas, functional areas,... (caused by CO allocation,...) to FI to ensure balanced CO+FI P&L information for your companies orgnisational units.
Best regards, Christian

You have not mentioned which version of SAP you are using.
The cyle distribution moves cost from one cost centre to other cost centres (in your scenario). This is happening within the controlling area and not outside the Controlling area.
Now, please read the following:
Ifyou are using ECC, you can realtime integrate the CO postings to FI area.
If you are using versions before ECC, you have to use reconciliation ledger functionality for reconciling the CO postings with FI.
