CRM Roles CHM-CM & CHM-CM (SAP_CRMAPPL) and CHM-PM & CHM-PM (SAP_CRMAPPL)

Dear SDNites,

I am new CRM, I have installed CRM7 on Linux and integrating it with EP7

I have configured SSO between CRM7 and EP7 and it is working fine as well

I have deployed the CRM business packages for Channel manager and Channel Partner

After deploying the BP, there are two roles for each as mentioned below.. 

CHM-CM 
CHM-CM (SAP_CRMAPPL) 
CHM-PM 
CHM-PM (SAP_CRMAPPL)

I would like to understand difference between CHM-CM & CHM-CM(SAP_CRMAPPL) and CHM-PM & CHM-PM(SAP_CRMAPPL)

Which role need to be assigned to the user
