Visual Composer 7.2 BI Kit and NWDS

Hello,

Does anybody know if the BI Kit is included in Visual Composer in the Netweaver Developer Studio for CE 7.2?

For CE 7.1.1 this was not the case as mentioned in note 1222886 (known issues - visual composer CE 7.1.1). But for CE 7.2 I can not find any information on this and it is not mentioned in the known issues for VC 7.2).

In the browser I got the BI integration working. I can select a BI system as data source provider but once in the NWDS I can not select a system. When I select BI Data Sources as provider I get the message "No destinations have been defined".

Am I missing a configuration? Or is the BI Kit still not supported in the NWDS for CE 7.2?

Hello Christophe,

BI Kit is included in Visual Composer in the Netweaver Developer Studio for CE 7.2. You have to configure BI backend system in NWDS.

In order to do it, go to:

Windows->Preferencies->Destination Configurations->R/3 Configuration and press Add button.

Open the Single Server tab, fill the fields and press OK button.

Afterwards you should restart the NWDS.

Please note, that BI JDBC is not supported in NWDS and it is impossible to consume BMP data sources.

Thanks for the reply. It was solved by restarting my studio.

This is not necessary when you add a R/3 system so I did not try it.

Hi All,

I have connected the Bi with my NWDS Visual Composer but while using BI Queries ,It is showing error like :-

Query View Instantiation Failed : biserver

BI*_QueryView Query OP_M1_Q*6.

• means some Data.

Please ,give some pointers .
