Upgradation from SAP Business One 2007 B to SAP Business One 8.8

Hi.. Guys

currently we are implementing SAP Business one 2007 B and we need some functionality to be customized as per our specific requirement. Also we are planning to upgrade from SAP Business one 2007 to SAP Business One 8.8.

Right now implementation is on going. please let me know whether we should upgrade before customization or we can go for upgrade after cusmization ?

please give me the clear picture.

Dear Rakhi,

Computability of any add-on with any version of SAP dependent on few things, Like what kind of Add-on this is?, What functionality it will customize? What tables of SAP will play there role in the development of Add-on?

If you are planning to upgrade your system to 8.8 in near future than I would also recommend to first upgrade the system and than develop the Add-On.

Hello Rakhiat,

The add-on( customization) sometimes are not compatible with 8.8 due to incorrect positioning and so on.It would be good if you can first upgrade database from 2007B to 8.8 and then work on add-on. Hope this helps.
