Master inspection Characteristics and the Inspection Plan

Hello,

I have created inspection plan based on MIC's. But later made few changes to that inspection plan characteristics.

During creation of the inspection lot, system checks the MIC's but not the characteristics from the inspection plan.

Which settings are required, to enable the inspection lot characteristics to consider from the inspection plan but not the Original MIC's.

Regards,

Vijaya

unlocked-mics.pngHello Craig,

Thank you for your answer. I see only one version existing for the MIC being used in our plans. Also when I looked in QS27, all entries appears unlocked. what needs to be done now.

Thanksfor your answer. mic-detail.png

As I indicated in my reply below. You have go to each inspection plan and replace the MIC manual and reestablish the link.

Or make the same change directly in each inspection plan the MIC is used in.

It depends on if your MIC's are locked or unlocked in your plans.

If they are unlocked, you probably made the changes in the MIC (maybe a new version). The problem with unlocking MICS is that they no longer have any reference to the original MIC. You have to delete them and put in the MIC again. If you do this, you'll now have a "locked" MIC in the plan. If you had custom specs in the plan for the characteristic you'll have to unlock the MIC (thus cancelling reference for future use), and make the required spec changes.

If your MICS are locked, you probably created a new version of the MIC but did not run the MIC replacement program (QS27). This will only replace locked (referenced) MIC's.
