Fiori Client on Android Devices error - Cannot take screenshot due to security policy

Currently in User Acceptance Testing for a client and they receive an error on an Android mobile device when trying to take a screenshot while in the SAP Fiori Client. During testing we always request screenshot for any errors they receive however in this case the user receives the message "Can't take screenshot due to security policy". This seems to be happening on Android mobile devices only.

Any ideas to get around this would be greatly received.

Thanks

Hey Phil,

Have you found a fix for this already?

I was looking at the same issue earlier and found the fix.

Within the Fiori Client, open Settings> Enable 'Screen Sharing'.

Apparently, this is caused by the PrivacyScreen plugin, which is included with Fiori Client. For android devices, screen sharing is disabled automatically.

Cheers,

Thanks greg_carino - yes I had not found a fix for this so thanks for providing an option. I don't own an Android phone but will check with the users about this and see if this fixes their issue. Not really clear from that documentation of what to do to fix it apart from coding.

Will try this and report back. Thanks!

Hi Lutz

The problem is not within a Fiori application (within the FLP). The problem is with the native application SAP Fiori Client which we don't have access to the codebase. This is a really strange problem - one that I have not experienced with an iOS device. I will do some more analysis of the issue and also dig deeper into your response but I don't believe this is the answer.

Thanks for the response though! Appreciate it.

Kind Regards

Hi, interesting subject.

I found this one "Privacy Screen" on help.sap.com which prevents screenshot as a side effect.

Cheers, Lutz
