Long Text in Operations in TL & work Order

Dear All,

The standard length of the Operation field is 40 Charecters.

When we paste a longer text say 60 characters into the Operation, is there a facility so that 40 charaters are copied in short text & balance in Long text automatically.

Instead of Going to Long text and then pasting.
