Selection Rules, Day Types and Custom Holiday Classes - July 4, 2010 (Sat)

Hi,

We have 2 types of US employees, regular employees who work M-F and shift employees who can work on Saturdays and Sundays. For July 4, 2010, it falls on a Sunday so for regular employees it's a guaranteed holiday where they get July 5 off but for shift employees, it's not a guaranteed holiday so they get July 4 off and not July 5.

Here's what I did so far:

1. Created 2 public holidays

a. Independence Day (guaranteed) - where it's a fixed date of 07/04 where it's guaranteed on a Sat/Sun and holiday class = 3

b. Independence Day - where it's a fixed date of 07/04 and holiday class = 1

2. Defined 2 selection rules

a. 01 (for regular)

Weekday Sat Sun

b. 02 (for shift)

3. Assigned Day Type = 01 for regular WSR and Day Type = 02 for shift WSR

4. Generated WSR

Problem is that when I book vacation time for shift employees, it's not deduction from quota if I book for July 5. July 4 is now ok but July 5 should be deducted.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Points will be awarded. Thanks.
