Hi Team,

We have requirement to implement GST on our SAP landscape, s now my question is do we need to have additional systems like new DEV and new QAS to perform the GST implementation tasks ? or we can directly perform the developments on our current existing DEV and QAS systems.

As per my understanding only pre-requisites are TAXINN and update SAP_APPL component on current systems and perform GST implementation.

Your advise will be very helpful for me, please assist me.

Regards,

Arun Reddy

Hi Arun,

As of now you wanted to develop your DEV and QAS system for GST, the only pre-requisites is to change your tax procedure from TAXINJ to TAXINN and the required service package as per SAP is available till now. but there are some patches like how you can control the GST at the time of posting Invoice(MIRO, there must be some additional details required so you need to have patience till SAP release new notes for GST implementation after the government decision.

Till than you can migrate your system if you are working on TAXINJ to take intial step towards GST.

Thanks & regards,

Ankur

Hi Arun,

As such there is no requirement to build up new DEV & QAS server for GST implementation, however you need to make sure config related to GST should not move to subsequent server at the same time with some other object changes related to config, for example you had changed all tax condition type in sales pricing procedure as required by GST, and after this you are made some changes in sales pricing procedure wrt to any discount condition type and move the TR to PRD then this activity will be impacting all the process. Sop be on safer side you need to plan a strategy to over come this and its totally its a business call as it involve lot of cost and planing.

Thanks
