Master data full and delta regularly

Hi experts,

I would like to know what is the technical and business reason behind extracting full load as well as delta load of master data on a daily basis/ weekly basis the full load.

Really appreciate for any helpful input.

let's say you added some fields to the extractor. let's also assume that changes to these fields do not trigger the delta. so with your delta load you'll miss these changes. if from a loading point of view (full loads take a long time) one can decide to load a daily delta (and miss some attributes) but have a full load in the weekend to have all the latest changes...

it's the choice between loading time and correctness of the data...if the missing attribute does not lead to incorrect data you can choose to only have a full load in the weekend.

Hi,

To perform delta load, the datasource should support delta. For those datasources, those wont support delta, full load should be performed.
