In SCM 7.0, in CTM Master data selection ( CTMMSEL), there is a check profile. Can someone tell me the purpose of this and where is this profile maintained.
Yes you are right, the check profile is used to determine which master data objects are to be checked though the consistency check .
Master data consistency check is carried out to ensure that the master data and the dependencies are set properly. We have seen cases where the PPMs validity dates are invalid and such inconsistencies are alerted by the consistency check.
It is always a good practise to run the consistency check after the master data load and before the CTM run.
