Hello,

I am looking for a report that will allows us to view material stock by purchase order... that is not batch managed.

Is this possible/ and or is there something else that I can use to get similar information?

Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

You cannot get the stock update in Purchase Order, this is why we do not have any standard reports for the same, but we get the values when a material document has been posted in the system, so to get that data you can goto MMBE, enter the material & plant, click on the environment and select the option material movements, system will display you all the material document through which system updates inventory, here you can sort the material document with GR and find the corresponding POs!

Thanks,

Oh, Andrew!

So you mean how much is left in stock from the corresponding PO? This' a familiar requirement! Many companies have that. One need is for the stock valuation purposes.

No matter the purpose, you need to assume some kind of consumption pattern, since the individual pieces of the material are not identifiable.

For stock valuation purposes, the accounting rules in many countries allow you to assume either FIFO or LIFO consumption, i.e. it is assumed that the material being issued at the moment comes from the oldest (FIFO) or the last (LIFO) PO.

For these two types of stock valuation, SAP has FIFO/LIFO valuation. But it only gives an answer to the valuation of the stock, not e.g. best before date, even if you might take some reports from there which can be useful to calculate best before date too.

Here are the links: FIFO and LIFO.

Hi Andrew,

Do you mean the inventory when the PO was created? Or received?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but here's some suggestions.

1. Key figure "Stock lvl at Gds Rec". This is at the time of the last receipt. There's also an average figure (avg. stock at receipt) in some report, but I don't remember where.

2. Report MB5B gives the stock per chosen date.

Hey Rafael,

I would want to see how much stock is on hand from a given PO for a material that is not batch-managed.

Best regards,

Andrew
