Hi SDNites,
I have created a flow where I am retreiving values from ECC using custom abap. In order to do this I have created a select query within CPI-DS using ABAP form editor and then manually created the copy of the same query in CPI-DS agent with file extension as .aba. Please confirm if the approach is fine.
Also when executing the data flow, no values are obtained and getting an error.
Below is the simple query I have used,
FORM <<<FORMNAME>>>. TABLES: MARA. SELECT * FROM MARA. <<<OTAB1>>>-MATNR = MARA-MATNR. APPEND <<<OTAB1>>>. ENDSELECT. ENDFORM.
Regards,
Abhishek
First you need to make sure your ABAP has correct syntax. If you manually test the program in the source system, it is a good way to validate. You will also need to create the output columns of the custom transform in CPI. The ABA file is saved in the specified directory when you select the option to override from the Form editor in CPI-DS, so that will accomplish both steps.
What error are you getting?

Could write to a file or internal table instead during design phase and adjust to regular CPI-DS output later once it is validated. I'm not an ABAP guy so I can't effectively advise you there. But once the ABAP is known to be working (selecting data, returning the table results) this should be easy to plug into CPI.
Is this the full extent of the ABAP you want to use, or just an example query? Surely it would be much easier to use generated ABAP to select * MARA...
