Tried to plan using a year greater than 2187,the disaggregation errors out

Hi All,

Due to the specific requirement, we have to plan in a year 200 years ahead of the current year. And when we tried to do this, the disaggregation errors out in the layout with the message 'Disaggregation not possible as there is no reference data'.

So, as I see the same layout working for the current year, after couple of hours using trial and error method, found that the disaggregation is not working for a plan year greater than 2187.

So, we have advised users to use 100 years ahead of the current year to get around this year, for their testing.

I am just curious, why the year 2187 is the cutoff year.

Also, one of our colleague mentioned that he found the same case for years before 1188.

So, SAP BI IP disaggregation works for years between 1188 and 2187.

Is this OS related limitation, or is this SAP current release limiration? Interesting....

Hello Shashi,

this is probably related to the BW setting for time intervals. Please check transaction RSRHIERARCHYVIRT.

If not, are you using 0CALYEAR or 0FISCYEAR?

Hi Marc,

We are using 0FISCYEAR and before opening this new post, we have used the TCODE that you have mentioned, to change the upperlimit of Fiscal year from 2015 to 2600.

OUR RSRHIERARCHYVIRT settings are as follows:

Time Interval:

From 09/01/2002 to 12/31/2600.

And the disaggregation works until year 2187. Anything after this year, the disaggregation errors out.

Hello Shashi,

the fiscal year values are generated by the system using ABAP class CL_RSMD_RS_0FISCYEAR. In the GET_VALUES method of this class you can see that the default is set to max 200 values.

Furthermore, if the current date falls into the selected years, then the system will generate 70% of the values for future years and 30% for past years (see method VALUEGENERATE).

Please implement SAP Note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1403320">1403320</a> which changes the max value to 10000 (if selections are given).

PS: If this should not help in your case, then you the next option is to modify the default for I_MAXROWS in method GET_VALUES.
