Asset Manager on Premise

Dear All,

I have a question on the deployment process of SAP Asset Manager.

As mentioned in the documents , SAP Asset Manager uses S/4 HANA On premise edition or SAP ERP On premise edition and deployed in SAP Cloud platform.

My query is, Can we deploy the Asset Manager application on premise like we deploy any Fiori application in gateway server?

Is the deployment of on premise supported for SAP Asset Manager possible ?

Hi Neha,

SAP Asset Manager is a metadata driven application which provides generated code to support multiple platform deployment with a middleware leveraging SAP Cloud Platform. The middleware allows the management of the data between the backend and the mobile device as well as the offline capabilities of the solution.

In other words, it was developed with the Cloud in mind. Therefore, I am afraid you won't be able to run it entirely on-premise.

Few features of Asset Manager like IOT, AI will not support in On premise .

Below are SAP Asset Manager Prerequisites:

• SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition: SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition 1610 Feature Package Stack 01 or higher
• SAP Gateway Foundation: SAP_GWFND, SAP Gateway Foundation 7.51 Support Package 01 or higher is required if installing Mobile AddOn for S/4 HANA system.
• Minimum add on release : S4MFND 100 SP03 and S4MERP 100 SP03
• Business Configuration Set(BCSet):/MERP/SAP_ASSET_MANAGER_30_REF – SAP Asset Manager 3.0.0 BC Set – Reference
• Mandatory SAP Notes :
• 2556695 : /MFND/CL_CORE_ODATA2_PROXY_MGR method SETUP_OMDO_CONTAINER keyfield conversion exception handling
• 2585996 : Performing delta synchronization from SAP Asset Manager 1.1 client receives error “Client Service unavailable”
• Administrator account for SAP cloud platform
• On-premise cloud connector set up
• SAP Asset Manager SDK

Although Asset manager is Cloud based app but it will work with on premise with help of cloud connector.
