Data provisioning into BW on non HANA DB from ERP on HANA

Hi all,

We are planning for an ERP move onto the HANADB, but the BW system is not in scope, which will continue on a non HANA DB. The question is: Is it possible to still continue with data extraction from ERP on a HANA database without any issues or changes as with the current setup of data extraction from an ERP on non HANA DB?

Hi Snehith,

A change of the ECC db should have no impact on the extraction process (if the ECC version stays the same). Few regression can be encountered on specific ABAPs on db specific instructions. The most common issue is linked to the implicit sorting in SELECT that can differ from one DB to another (if no ORDER BY has been specified).
