Is there any difference in Installation of CPS on Netweaver 7.0 and CPS on Solution Manager 4.0 ?
To install CPS on netweaver 7.0 do we require Solman to be installed?

No there is no difference, the software is the same, only the backend is different. However you want to consider NOT to install CPS in Solution manager, see also CPS Forum Thread: [CPS Installation in Solution Manager 7.01|;

just to summarize , it means I can install SAP CPS on dedicated SAP Netweaver 7.0 system without having any need to install Solution manager.
