Append using SFTP Receiver adapter is replacing earlier file content with white space

Hello Experts,

I need to append csv file in SFTP. When I am testing it. The earlier content present in the file is replaced with white space and the new record is appended not at the end of file but after the last character in the file.

Any suggestions?
