SAP Transaction iView Web Browser Compatibility

Hi,

Hope you can help me on this one. We currently created some SAP Transaction iViews in our Portal environment, and we noticed that there were some inconsistencies in the display when the iView is shown in IE 6 (e.g. some fields' font are in bold) as compared to IE 7 and up (IE 7 displays the iView as expected).

I was wondering if there are any compatibility issues between IE 6 and EP, and if ever is there a way to remedy this at EP PCD level?

Hi Angelo,

Since you are using SAP Transaction iViews then it means that you are using the Integrated ITS in your backend system. You need to check the SAP_BASIS version of your backend and compare with the versions mentioned in SAP note 1370013: you will see that in IE6 table cells are displayed with a bold font. The same note provides you with 4 alternatives to avoid the error.

Hi,

The browser verion which is officially supported by SAP EP version you are using has to be cofirmed. Once this is done, the same has to be recommended to end users.

Thanks for replying! Although, would you know which is the browser version supported by SAP EP officially (in terms of rendering SAP GUI HTML iViews)?
