Work Center Category XXXX does not exist

Hi Gurus,

We are trying to create a new work center with the same work center category as other existing work centers, but the system shows the following message:

"Setting: Work Center category XXXX does not exist"

I checked in customizing OP40 and the work center category XXXX shows as created and everything fine.

Any idea why we are getting this error message?

Thanks,

VL

    dear Victor

did you try to create a new workcenter running t-code CR01 and doing Copy from (your existing one) ?

Simply leave blank the "Work center cat." field

    also

make sure that in OP40 your category has a relevant application(s)

for example: 'P' - Routings for production

    (depends on your business process)

    good luck!

    Thans gurus, problem solved.

I was entering CR01 through the Production Module when i am using it for Maintenance. Entering CR01 through Maintenance Module works fine.

    Thanks,

    VL
