Exclude logistic areas from availability check

Hi,

the availability check always includes any stock that is in the system, even when its not currently in the warehouse.

That means that also stock residing on an production output are is calculated into the availability. On the other hand - if a sales order is released for delivery, the system doesn't create a commisson task with the correct warehouse bin (if it is empty).

Therefore we would like to exclude the production area from the availability calculation until the material is moved to the warehouse flor.

How can that be done?

Kind regards,

Klaus Hoffmann

Dear Klaus,

Availability Check carries out at site level and further it drills down to all logistics areas which has stock irrespective of whether Logistics area is blocked or unblocked.

Currently there is no mechanism to restrict a particular Logistics area for availability check, However Availability check excludes stock which are tagged as restricted in a logistics areas.

I hope this info helps you.

Regards,

Sandeep
