doc. type clarification in Master data and at the time of payment posting

Hello Gurus,

When we are create account master data we assign document type 'C', and when we are going to payment posting document type 'D' is given. So which document type will take for a particular posting transaction.

HI,

IF you maintain the data in masters then it will appear as defualt value while posting any document and it is useful for users.

If you change the data while posting system will consider only changed data only.
