BPC for Office Client Installation Error

Hi experts,

I am trying to install BPC for Office in a PC User, and i am having some problems:

+ In Client Software Center: Links do not work.

+ I have aldo tried with the BPC SMS Client Package. It seems to be installed properly. However when starting BPC for Excel, a dialog box appears: "EXCEL is not installed"

What version of SAP BPC are you using?

Please provide also the Windows version for PC where you try to install BPC client.

Also what version of IE has the user into that computer?

Are you using and Administrator account for that PC where you are trying to install SAP BPC?

When you open the Client Software Center make sure you click into line with Install Cab files because this will enable the links for Client Software installation and alsoi the Client Diagnostic.

Hi,

My BPC version is BPC 7.0 service pack 06. and IE version is 8.0.

This issue only appears in only PC, but I have no idea how to solve it...

Hi Pablo,

it would really be helpful if you could indicate what version of Windows you are using, and also check if you have .Net 1.1 on that computer

the other very important point that Sorin indicated, verify that the user account under which you are installing the client has local administrator rights to that client computer

Hi experts,

I am still having this problem, but only in some specific PCs.

When I run in the Launch page-> Client Software Center. I can only see the icons of "BPC for Excel Installation" and "BPC Administration installation".

Although i can click on the icons, the install programs starts up with no text or option button.

I have checked IE configuration and it is the same than the other PCs.

Hi

If this issue is being faced in only specific PC, pl check if while installation, the installer has admin rights. Lack of this right will result in the issue as mentioned.

Hi,

This sometimes happen if you dont have admin in your system. First get the admin right for your system then you can run.

In SMS client installation also there are 2 one for admin other for excel client so make sure that you have installed both.
