Safety Stock with Characterstic values in APO __PPDS

Hello Experts,

We are using CDP in SAP APO and doing length based planning. We have a characterstic length. The sales order is populated with the characterstic which comes to APO, and characterstic propagation happens.

Client wants to have a safety stock to create stock for few products in advance. We are able to create safety stock using SAP_PP_018 heuristic but it comes without char values.

Is there a way to have characterstic values in Safety stock? Any help would be appreciated, points will be rewarded.

Hello,

CIF transfer for classification data in class type 23/300 use RIMODINI

APO reads from ERP classification which is assigned to /SAPAPO/MATKEY

The product master data /SAPAPO/MAT1 shows the CDP relevant class assignments only, assignments to 23/300 can be viewed

Thanks for note, but I am able to create SS with the heuristic, also able to create receipts against those safety stock. What I want is to assign a default char value to the safety stock which propagates to receipts as well.'

I have put values in class 023 and 300 in ECC in material master , but in class 400 it doesn't appear in APO material master . I am also fine with order created through Reorder point if not against safety stock,

Please advise.

As per SAP note 1101409 - LPP: Functionality restrictions

Restrictions for the Planning Heuristic function -The "Safety stock" function is not supported.

Not sure but you may explore the BAdi /SAPAPO/RRP_HEUR_DO
