Is there any way to forbid the MRP for material

Hi ,

Is there any way to forbid the MRP for material ?

Basically , we have an Sales Order / Item / Material of 100 KG. Now upon execution of MRP it has created one plan order of 100 Kg which is converted to Production Order fully.

Now we hav done Goods Receipt of 99 KG and TECO and Production Order.

Still Sales Order delivery for this material is not done. And we want the MRP to forbid the requirement generation of 1 KG for this Sales order.

Regards ,

Upen

    hi,

MRP considers only planned Receipts plus stock compares with the Requirement, you said you have already got the planned order for 100 quantities inturn you have converted to prod order and you made teco. But you have not done GR for 1 No means they are lying in the shop floor. Manufacturing is completely done. So do the GR to the unrestricted stock and make it restricted stock. If the strategy you have adopted is 20 if GR is done it will be sales ordesr stock for which you havew to make unrestricted stock.

    • Dear ,

In MD04 , if you have any open requirement or deamand is still there in sales order , then it will appear .If the 100 KG of Sales order already passed through MRP and once the Planned Order converted to Production Order , GI happened against Production order and Cosfirnation , DLV , Consumption updated (PGI/Delivered ) then those Sales Order will not appear in MD04 screen .

It is based on the MD04-Screen set up -spro-mrp-evalution -stock and requirement list -selection rule .

      Hope it is clear

      Regards

    Dear Pandey,

It you can resolved by changing sales order, go to Va02 put sales order no & put reason fro rejection for line which delivery completed, here you can make new reason for rejection like partial delivery or Delivery completed.

As soon as u make this change Requirement will finish.

    Reagrds.........Rakesh

    Upen,

Well, yes, you can 'turn off' MRP for a material by changing the MRP type in the Material Master to "ND" (No Planning).

However, in the case you have cited, I don't know why you would want to do so. This is not an MRP issue, it is an issue with your sales policies and procedures.

You have a requirement for SO for 100KG. This is how many the customer has contracted to buy from you. You have a supply element (stock) for 99KG, and no open receivable production orders. The customer still wants 100KG, so MRP will create another proposal.

If you think your customer will be satisfied with 99KG, and not 100KG, then you change the sales order accordingly. In this way, MRP will stop proposing additional supply elements. Otherwise, you must produce the additional KG.

If you have installed the Mill Products solution, you can, for certain customer orders, automate this process, using 'Underdelivery tolerance" within the sales order.

    Dear ,

You have lot of option to do this .

Option 1 : At Sales Order level -select the line item -double click -Goto Schedule line -Set Schedule line icategoery as CN-No planning

Option 2 : Set the Sales Order line itm " Reason for rejection as poor quality in the

Option 3: Do not realease Credit status Relased as Over all status in sales Order Satus tab in VKM3.

Option 4: Keep the Material level parametres like : Basic Data Tab : X plant status as 01 -Blcoked for procurement or MRP 1 view MRP Type as ND

All those will restirict to pass the requiremt og rest 1 KG through MRP planning .
