User setting in srm 7.0

Hi experts ,

I wan to set the default value in srm 7.0 webdynpro application .

if we right click on the UI element User setting-->use current value as default value , this option i want to add for custom fields

of webdynpro application .

can any one help how to achive this settings .

The context menu (right click) of User Setting etc is offered by WebDynpro framework to all WD UI elements. It should also work for your custom fields without additional development. But this setting, i.e. "set current value as default" is user dependent.

Does this mean that default values cannot be set globally and there by only for a specific user?

The best place to look for an answer for this would be in the WwebDynpro for ABAP forum where there will be any number of consultants who can probably answer this one with no problem. Unfortunately I am not a WD expert so I cannot offer any further insight into how to acheive this requirement. If you do check in WD and find the answer please also update this thread with the answer!!

I think I understand the question but unfortunately have no clues to answer . May be I can rephrase the question and as Jason mentioned somebody might be able to answer it then.

Here is the question.

If we right click an UI element on the screen which is run by Web Dynpro application we are able to see an option 'User setting-->use current value as default value ' for the standard fields, but for the custom fields those we have added on the screen we can not see that option. Is there any way to achieve the same user settings for the custom fields as well??

I'm very eager to know the answer If anybody can..
