want to exclude second transcation log

hello every one

i have MSSQL server 2005 ,at the time of sap installation i have assigen 20 gb for transaction log but when i am upgrading the sap with EHP4 it was full so i found no other way but to create another transaction log file on other drive ,

after EHP4 upgradation i have taken the backup of full system and the backup of transaction log file it was 96 gb 20 form first log and 76 from second log file .

now i try to shrink log files the first log file was shrinked , and it is using 1 gb of space,

but my problem is the second log file is not shrinking and even not excluding from databse .

just tell me what to do.

Hello,

It's likely the log file that you want to remove contain active part of the log.

You can move the active part by artificially filling the log through dummy transactions until the active part switches

to another file.

The following section of SAP note 363018 give you details on how to perform this.
